SUBSTATION DESIGNING

I. SWITCH YARD

We, at Enerquest, are experts in switch yards of innumerous types of switching schemes and single line diagram finalization. We also perform survey and investigation of land, considerations of line orientation and taking block levels. Formation of site/ plot plan is also done for economical finished grade levels. The finalization of switch yard plan and cross section is done and also the detailed bill of quantities for all equipments and materials is prepared

II. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 

• We, at Enerquest, prepare specifications with all parameters and references for all equipments and materials of IS/IEC standards. It consists of the lightning arrestors, power transformer, circuit breaker involving the sizing of the equipment, method of construction andother electrical parameters like continuous current rating.
• With respect to Control and Protection Panels, we have control and backup schemes. We specialize on formation of panels and measurement of parameters, the SCADA compatibility and design of cable schedule.
• For theAuxiliary Systems, we provide battery and charger-sizing of equipments , AC distribution board and configuration feeders.

  • Steel Structures- We design and configure columns & beams, design equipment support structures.
  • Bus bars- Aluminum pipe, AA or ACSR conductor is used for aluminium pipe and sizing is based on power handling capacity.
  • Insulators-Configuration is based on electrical properties and mechanical strength.

We also prepare technical specifications for civil and sub-station erection, testing and commissioning technical specifications.

III. CONTROL BUILDING

Our area of expertise is in providing configuration with dimensions and foundation details for various equipments, also designing super structure.

We hold major priority in designing economic levels, foundations for power transformers and equipment support structures, roads and associated culverts, cable duct and drainage system.

We also provide services like formation of cable duct, drainage and roads, laying of cables and termination.

Few other services that we provide are: Construction of building and erection of indoor requirements, formation of bus-main and jack Bus, laying of earthmat and connecting earthmat to equipments& structure.

IX. TESTING AND COMMISSIONING

We coordinate innumerous suppliers and get the equipments tested, verify all connections and terminations and provide commissioning of sub-station.
